The Gospel B.C. - The Law that Leads Us to Christ
In this message from the series The Gospel B.C., we explore how the Old Testament Law was never meant to save us, but to lead us to the Savior.
From Genesis to Exodus, Scripture reveals that God’s plan of redemption was in motion long before the birth of Jesus. The covenant with Abraham, the sacrifice of Isaac, the Passover lamb, and finally the giving of the Law at Mount Sinai all point forward to the ultimate fulfillment found in Christ.
The Law confirmed God’s covenant relationship with His people, exposed the depth of humanity’s rebellion, and created a longing for the redemption it could not provide. It revealed both God’s holiness and humanity’s inability to achieve righteousness on our own.
But the Law does not leave us without hope. Instead, it points us directly to Jesus, the One who fulfilled the Law, bore the penalty for our sin, and offered a once-for-all sacrifice that brings true forgiveness and restoration.
The question the Law ultimately asks every person is not, “Have you done enough?” but rather, “Will you trust the One who did it all?”
