Our Why?

Well, if you have seen the campaign video then you know our WHY! If you haven't...well you need to. It's evident how the Lord has been moving in the hearts and lives of our community and its time that we make room for a wider impact. We have been focusing on growing our roots deep and now it's time to spread out and expand our impact. 

How it all started

NewLife Church has been growing for many years which created a great need for our 2019 Kids wing expansion to the right of our building. Due to current set backs and property lines, we had come to the conclusion that our church building had reached its max size. We couldn't build to the Left, Right or back and the front of the building we needed to keep for parking. But God.....God had different plans! Back in early 2022 Sam's carwash approached NewLife church seeking usage of our existing entrance off Browns Hill Rd in order to develop the land between our Church and Hwy 24-27. Little did we know we were offered a land swap deal. Give Sam's our entrance from Browns Hill Rd in exchange for 2 acres of land to the left side of our sanctuary. Oh wait, there's more! Sam's offered to allow us to continue using our entrance as well as grade the 2 acres and bring all the Sewer, water, power and other utilities to our new property at NO COST. Look at God! Now we have enough land to build our much needed expansion AND an additional main entrance of 24-27 beside Dr. Martin's Dentistry.

Phase 1- Preliminary Stage (Design)

We have been working hard with our building team. Architectural, Civil and Contractor to design and develop exactly what we need. Countless hour have been poured into this project with lots of though and prayer. There are many other things that we would like to eventually have and offer here at NewLife Church however, we also have to be mindful of the budget and overall financial health of the Church. We want to ALWAYS be in position to be an impactful ministry to our Church, the community and the world. We know that being a good steward of God's money is the way to do that.  We are still working hard to finalize the plans and enter into plan review. Estimated start date to erect building should be around Oct-Nov Timeframe. 

Couple details to note

-800+ seat modern sanctuary with build in baptism in the stage (not pictured)
-Spacious next steps room for educational events like Grow groups, NL Academy and studies.
-2 additional LifeGroup/community rooms off the main lobby. 
- Upgraded coffee area.....Who's not excited about that?!
-More LifeGroup/ community rooms for deeper connection.
-Community seating and hangout areas at the back of the connector to meet with others while enjoying a cup of coffee (Not pictured)
-We will have 2 entrances to the church, Browns Hill Rd and a new entrance on 24/27 beside Dr.Martins Dentist office.
-Added parking spaces in the front as well as the rear of the building. 

**The existing Sanctuary will be utilized for KidzLife (K-5) on Sundays mornings as well as Student ministry (6th-12th) on Sunday nights. There will be no chairs in the way so they can do much more! By relocating ministries into the new space, we can open up additional room in our existing KidzLife wing, creating much-needed capacity for our growing infant and toddler ministries.

Phase 2- Grading

We are officially in the grading phase of our expansion! Crews are clearing trees, installing retaining ponds, and putting in the critical infrastructure that will support our future church home.

Over the next 3–4 months, you'll notice several exciting changes. Our current entrance off Browns Hill Road will be temporarily relocated beside AME Zion Church, allowing access into the lower parking lot. During this time, our existing main entrance will undergo a complete transformation. Plans include a beautiful pond on the right side of the driveway, along with a gazebo and walking path. These improvements are part of our partnership agreement with the Sam's Car Wash development team.

You'll also begin to see our building pad take shape as essential utilities—including storm drainage, water, electrical service, and other infrastructure—are installed throughout the site.

Even more exciting, the structural steel for the building has already been ordered! Once the site work is complete, the next major milestones will include installing the underground utilities beneath the future slab, preparing the foundation, and pouring concrete.
