Easter 2026 - "The Great Rescue"
On Easter morning, we celebrate more than an empty tomb—we celebrate The Great Rescue.
In Exodus 3, God declares, “I have come down to rescue.” While this promise was first spoken to Israel in slavery, it ultimately points to a far greater deliverance—our rescue from sin and death through Jesus Christ.
This sermon explores how the story of the Exodus is a powerful foreshadowing of the gospel:
A rescue initiated by the Father, rooted in His love before we ever sought Him
A rescue accomplished by the Son, who defeated sin and death through the cross and resurrection
A rescue guaranteed by the Spirit, who leads, secures, and finishes what God began
Easter is the declaration that the rescue is real, complete, and available to all. The cross was the payment. The resurrection is the receipt.
