None Greater - "God's Transcendence: The Wholly Other God"
We live in a culture that constantly tries to make God smaller, more familiar, and easier to understand. But Scripture presents a God who cannot be reduced to our expectations or confined by our imagination. In this message, we explore the doctrine of God's transcendence—the truth that God is wholly other, infinitely above His creation, and unlike anyone or anything else. Through Isaiah's vision of the Lord in Isaiah 6 and Paul's sermon in Athens in Acts 17, we discover that God is not merely a greater version of his creation; He exists in an entirely different category. His holiness reveals His uniqueness, His majesty restores our awe, and His transcendence exposes our tendency to remake God in our own image. Yet the God who is exalted above all has graciously made Himself known through Jesus Christ. When we see God as He truly is, our worship deepens, our perspective changes, and every part of our lives begins to find its proper place beneath His sovereign rule.
