Journey Through the New Testament - "The Kingdom Expands"

Jesus’ ascension wasn’t the end of His mission—it was the beginning of its expansion. In Acts, the gospel moves from Jerusalem to Judea, Samaria, and ultimately to the ends of the earth as the Holy Spirit empowers the Church to carry forward the mission of Jesus. In Week 2 of Journey Through the New Testament, we explore Acts and the Epistles to see what it looks like to be a kingdom-expanding church. From Pentecost to the spread of the gospel throughout the Roman world, we discover a Church that is purposeful, powerful, passionate, and committed to proclaiming the good news of Jesus. The same mission continues today. Jesus is still King, the gospel is still true, the Spirit still empowers, and the world is still waiting to hear.
